What On Earth Am I Here For?

Everyone wants to know if life really matters. We all wonder:

  • Why am I alive?

  • What is the meaning of my life?

  • What is my purpose?

  • What on earth am I here for?

Without purpose life is motion without meaning, activity without direction, and events without reason. God makes everything with a purpose – including you!

Starting Sunday, September 9th, Saxapahaw United Methodist Church will be hosting a 40-day, church-wide spiritual journey that will include daily devotions, a weekly study, and a sermon series, all exploring the question “What on Earth am I Here For?”

Will you participate? It is never too late to discover God’s purpose for you. Today the average life span is 25,550 days. That’s how long you will live if you are typical. Don’t you think it would be a wise use of time to set aside 40 of those days to figure out what God wants you to do with the rest of them? You are invited – and challenged! – to commit to participate fully in this 40-day journey.

Daily Devotions: Will you give 15 to 20 minutes of each day to this journey of transformation?

  • Copies of Rick Warren’s book, will be available at the church, starting Sunday, September 2nd. A $10 donation is greatly appreciated.

  • You may prefer to listen to the audio book or obtain the Kindle edition on your own.

  • In addition, a daily email will remind you of the theme for the day. (Not receiving the eNews? Sign up today!)

Church-Wide Study: Will you partner with others so that we can learn and grow together?
