Saxapahaw United Methodist Church is a small church with a vast mixture of people, from young families to older members. We define “congregation” to include the people who participate in the ministries of the church and people in the community who may not worship regularly, if at all.
The congregation includes believers from a wide diversity of theological convictions who remain grounded in the theological teachings of the United Methodist Church. Families and individuals come from diverse economic and educational backgrounds. We embrace our differences, maintaining unity through the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe, as Methodists, that we are constantly growing in our faith. To this end, we offer a wide variety of opportunities for people to learn and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. We strive to live into our mission statement: “Knowing Christ and making Christ known through loving, learning, and serving.”
This position is designed to allow our pastor to be able to focus on the executing the mission of our church. The Administrative Assistant would be expected to work at times closely with the pastor and at times to independently with minimal input.
