Saxapahaw is seeking a part-time administrative assistant available for between 10-15 hours per week.

Communicate church/community news via a weekly email newsletter (Constant Contact), website maintenance and upkeep (Wix),and other multimedia accounts.
Manage routing of email, mail, phone calls, and voicemails; returning calls/emails as appropriate.
Collaborate with the pastor to draft and print the weekly church bulletin, and create and print programs and flyers for other events as needed (using Microsoft Office).
Draft the weekly powerpoint presentation (using Microsoft Office) for regular and special services.
Maintain the church calendar, both by scheduling events and keeping the Google calendar up to date.
Maintain church directory (Instant Church Directory).
Manage tithes and offerings(through Vanco and other means) and assist with Quickbooks entries on a weekly basis and ensure that all church income is properly accounted for. Assist with financial reports and letters throughout the year.
Assist with event planning/coordination.
Manage the inventory of office supplies.
Provide additional assistance during the summer with preparation for The Village Camp.
Assist the pastor with other tasks as needed.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum GED or high school equivalency.
A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role or a role with translatable responsibilities.
Ability to pass a complete background and reference check.
Ability to create and build positive and sustainable relationships with staff and members of the church/community by serving as a resource and responding to questions and concerns (excellent communication skills).
Outstanding administrative and organizational skills.
Ability to learn and work efficiently with a variety of applications/computer programs.
SALARY & BENEFITS
This is a hourly position. Compensation is $12-15/hour and is commensurate with experience. 10-15 hours per week expected, with an occasional need (but not requirement) for up to 20 hours.
The position will require regular availability during normal business hours; set hours can be established at time of hiring.

This position is designed to allow our pastor to be able to focus on the executing the mission of our church. The Administrative Assistant would be expected to work at times closely with the pastor and at times to independently with minimal input.
