Zoe Empowers Change Drive
During The Village Camp, as we give thanks for all of the good things we have, we will also "pay it forward" by collecting change for Zoe Empowers (https://zoeempowers.org/). Zoe empowers orphans in Africa, India, and Central America to move from being beggars to being business owners in just three years. Zoe, guided by the simple belief of not doing anything for these young people that they can be taught to do for themselves, equips orphaned and vulnerable children to overcome extreme poverty by addressing multiple barriers simultaneously. From food security to health and hygiene, from education to income generation, orphans learn skills, gain confidence, and become valuable members of their communities.
For just $8/month, one household can become fully self-sufficient. We are supporting a group of orphans in Zimbabwe right now with 29 households and 88 children. So search your change jars, dig behind the sofa, ask your grandparents, look in your own piggy banks, and find all the change (and dollars and checks) you can, so that we can continue to make a difference in the lives of orphans in Zimbabwe.
Bring the change to camp Monday, August 2nd through Friday, August 6th. Let's see if we can offer hope to orphans as they receive a hand up out of poverty.
